Adventure photo tour Namibia

Deserts, dunes, loneliness, wild mountains, uninhabitable coastlines, fascinating big game, interesting people, overwhelming landscapes

This adventure photo tour offers all the advantages, conveniences and security of a mini group tour, but also almost all the advantages and freedoms of a private tour.

We travel with a maximum of eight participants. Two people (up to 4 people on request) share a 4x4 pickup with hardtop and one or two roof tents each. If you want a single tent, the car is also equipped with two roof tents for two people. This gives us maximum flexibility on days with program options and the greatest possible security in the remote regions of the country.

We spend the night partly on typical campsites with simple shower and toilet facilities and in middle-class safari lodges on a double room basis. We prepare the meals ourselves as barbecues on the campsites.

In the lodges we mostly use the associated restaurant. This trip combines comfort where it makes sense and African adventure where it is possible. You and / or your fellow travelers with whom you share the car drive the car yourself. If you like driving, you can have a lot of fun in Africa. If you don't want to drive yourself, we will find other solutions.

This photo tour does not make any special sporting demands on the participants. There are short walks and short hikes to the photo locations, but not kilometers of hikes. In November the daytime temperatures are around 30 ° to 33 ° C, shade is usually in short supply. However, our cars are air-conditioned so that cross-country trips are also possible at lunchtime. The night temperatures are very constant at around 17 ° C, which is very comfortable for sleeping. Only on the coast in Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and the seal colony is it noticeably cooler and mostly quite windy.

On other days, the stages often consist of a few short walks spread over the day together. The soil is mostly sandy, dusty or rocky. Surefootedness (this means walking safely on different, often pathless and / or sandy or very stony terrain) is a great advantage. On the way we always stop to take photos or to marvel at the peculiarities of the area. Perseverance and stamina are required for the longer cross-country journeys.
