The graduated microelectronics engineer said goodbye to the development career to devote himself entirely to his passion for photography and presentation. With his own full-length live multivisions, Heiko is one of the most successful travel photographers and speaker in Germany. Heiko also produces audiovisual projects for industry and for well-known speakers. After all, he and two colleagues organize the renowned Fernweh Festival in his home town of Erlangen, which, with its many multivisions, seminars and workshops, is one of the largest in the German-speaking region.

The qualified designer has been traveling mainly to countries in Latin America and Asia for over ten years to capture moments of everyday life and the diversity of the local cultures with photos. She loves unusual and dramatic landscapes, night shots under the stars and expressive portraits, whereby she  indigenous people are particularly fascinating. Due to her fondness for the Spanish language and the Latin American way of life, her travels have repeatedly taken her to the southern part of America. She lived and worked in Mexico for a year, which is why she grew particularly fond of the country with its diverse people and cultures.

Concentrated on Northern Europe from an early age, the "cold" countries are his passion. Iceland and Svalbard in particular are among the main areas of work for the graduate geographer. What was a passionate hobby for him for many years has now become his profession since 2012. Taking people who are interested in topics related to photography and the environment on tour and conveying the geography of our landscapes in addition to photographic content is what makes him personally the greatest pleasure. The east and south of Africa, the polar regions and Southeast Asia are among his favorites. As the former president of the Society for Nature Photography (GDT), Michael has dealt with aspects of creative nature photography on a daily basis. As a lecturer at the University of Bremen, he gives seminars in the field of ´design art / photography`.
